Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre

Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre is located about 25 kilometers west of Sandakan, in eastern Malaysia on the island of Borneo in the state ofSabah. It was started in 1964 for rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned baby orangutans from logging sites, plantations, and illegal hunting. The orphaned orang-utans are trained to survive again in the wild and are released as soon as ready. The sanctuary is located within the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve which covers an area of 5529 ha, much of which is virgin jungle. It has become one of Sabah's top tourist attractions.

Yup, while we r in Sandakan , me n my friends have an opportunity to visit SepiLok ( although this is a Work-Trip actually)... hahaha...It’s been a long time since my first visit to this place. If I’m not mistaken , last time is… erm… I’m 6 or 7 … wah… it’s been 18 years… huhuhu. I’m so happy to see Orang Utan…

We arrive at the right time… it’s a feeding time and there are Orang Utan with other Monkeys hanging all around and show off their skill ( jump from one tree to the other ) . Yup, there is a bunch of tourist there also. So popular lah this Orang Utan…ahakz…

I must visit this place again soon…. For a holiday… not for a work cause. Yeah , this trip for this time is a semi-work activities… so, time is very constraint … huhuhu

other species

Anyhow, it’s a good trip and I love it…

Trip To Sandakan...

My Trip to Sandakan early this year...
It's on February 5th, me and my friends ( Awang N Hassli ) 'departed' from Kota Kinabalu. Yeah, as u can see, we are not taking a flight to there.
me and my friends ( Awang n Hassli ) depart from KK at about 530am. Yeah...it is early in the morning. Why? what's the catch? hehehe... Because we want to take a good photo and Mount Kinabalu as a background... yup, i'm suggesting if you want to take a clear view n a good photo of mount Kinabalu , you must be around Kundasang ( or where ever you can see it ) in the morning. 7am to 9am is better... after that, mist will cover ur view... huhuhu... and after all it's all depend on the weather also... then if it's raining, mist will cover the mountain...
And... we are very lucky that day, it's a clear view of mount kinabalu... hahaha
